Your Heart Scan was born from a simple frustration: it shouldn’t take months to find out if your heart is healthy.

Claire and Riaan Nieuwoudt are both Advanced Cardiac Physiologists with decades of experience between them — in the NHS, in private practice, and across some of the UK’s leading cardiac centres. They’d spent years watching patients wait far too long for scans that should be straightforward and accessible.

So they decided to do things differently. Together with co-founder Abby Litting — whose extensive business experience across multiple sectors and passion for putting customers first has been instrumental in shaping the company — they built Your Heart Scan around the idea that expert heart care doesn’t have to mean long waiting lists, hospital corridors, and impersonal appointments. It can be warm, it can be quick, and it can be genuinely reassuring.

Today, the team has grown — but the ethos hasn’t changed. Every person who walks through our doors is looked after by the same calibre of advanced professionals you’d find in the best NHS cardiac departments, using the same state-of-the-art equipment.
