Infection Control Statement – Attending Your Appointment Safely
At Your Heart Scan, your health, safety, and the wellbeing of others are our top priorities.
To maintain a safe environment for all patients and staff, we ask that you please follow the guidance below before attending your appointment.
Do Not Attend Your Appointment If You Have:
- A fever, chills, or recent high temperature (in the last 48 hours)
- A new or persistent cough
- Shortness of breath unrelated to your heart condition
- Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
- A positive COVID-19 test or are awaiting test results
- Been advised to self-isolate by a healthcare professional
- Symptoms of gastroenteritis such as diarrhoea or vomiting within the last 48 hours
- Any other contagious illness such as flu or chickenpox
If you are unwell or unsure, please call us on 01332 315778 as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms. We will be happy to rearrange your appointment to a later date when you’re feeling better.
When You Can Attend:
- If you have mild cold symptoms but feel well (e.g. slight runny nose, no fever), you may still attend unless otherwise advised.
- If you’ve recently recovered (at least 48 hours symptom-free), you are welcome to attend.
- Please let our team know if you are recovering from any recent illness when you check in.
What We Do to Keep You Safe:
- Frequent cleaning and sanitising of clinical areas
- Spacing of appointments to reduce contact between patients
- Hand sanitiser available throughout the clinic
- Mask-wearing where appropriate, depending on current NHS or public health guidance
Thank you for your cooperation and helping us keep everyone safe.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
