Sandeep Hothi
Imaging Specialist Consultant Cardiologist

Sandeep is a Consultant Cardiologist with additional expertise in imaging of the heart. His aim is to provide the best standard of care and experience for all patients and at Your Heart Scan, Sandeep shares this common goal as the business provides the highest level of heart scans.
Sandeep studied at the University of Cambridge for an undergraduate and postgraduate medical and scientific degree: 1st Class BA(Hons) Degree, clinical medical and surgical degrees (MB BChir), and a higher research degree (PhD) in Cardiology.
Clinical training posts provided training as a house officer in medicine and surgery (Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn), senior house officer in cardiology (Royal Brompton Hospital, London) and core medical training (Addenbrooke’s and Papworth Hospitals, Cambridge). Sandeep was awarded membership of the Royal College of Physicians, UK and appointed to a national training number in cardiology (Leicester/Northampton). He was then appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, a tertiary/specialist cardiac centre.
Sandeep's clinical expertise is in the diagnosis and treatment of adult cardiac conditions with additional expertise and accreditation (SCMR, BSE, SCCT) in three modes of advanced cardiac imaging:

Beyond clinical roles, Sandeep holds national training and education roles with the British Society of Echocardiography for whom he is the lead examiner for transoesophageal echocardiography, an invited Trustee of the Society, and a member of the Accreditation committee. Boyang Liu
Imaging Specialist Consultant Cardiologist

Boyang is a Consultant Cardiologist with additional expertise in imaging of the heart using echocardiography, MRI scanning, and CT scanning. His commitment is to deliver the highest standard of care and a superior patient experience at Your Heart Scan.
​
Boyang earned his undergraduate medical degree (BA Hons) at the University of Cambridge and achieved proxime accessit to the University of London Gold Medal for securing the top position during clinical training at Bart’s Medical School (MBBS). Subsequently, he obtained a PhD in Cardiology from the University of Birmingham.

His clinical training encompassed house officer roles in medicine and surgery in London, followed by core medical training at University Hospitals Birmingham. Boyang became a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK, and obtained a national training number in cardiology (West Midlands, UK). He later assumed the role of Consultant Cardiologist at the North West Heart Centre, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, a leading cardiac centre offering specialised services to 3.2 million people.

Boyang specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of adult cardiac conditions, holding additional expertise and accreditation (EACVI, BSE, BSCI) in three modes of advanced cardiac imaging:

Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Boyang has a distinguished record of contributing to cutting-edge medical research, particularly in the fields of cardiac imaging for assessing heart valve disease, optimal timing of treatment, and non-ischaemic heart conditions.
Claire Nieuwoudt
Lead Advanced Cardiac Physiologist

A highly specialised Cardiac Physiologist Claire's expertise is in advanced echocardiography, having worked within the NHS and private sector.
​
Claire trained at the Glenfield Hospital, qualifying as a Cardiac Physiologist in 2001, promoted to Senior Cardiac Physiologist by 2003, and an Advanced Cardiac Physiologist by 2005. In 2004 she achieved transthoracic accreditation with the British Society of Echocardiography.
Claire has been working at an advanced level for many years, training, mentoring and supervising others throughout their training and accreditation process. After becoming Head of Echocardiography at Salisbury District Hospital, where she developed services, promoting high standards was Claire's priority.
After returning to the Midlands 10 years ago, and working at the Glenfield Hospital until 2016, Claire moved to Royal Derby Hospital where she has, until recently, worked as an Advanced Cardiac Physiologist leading several areas including audit.
Claire strongly believes in the highest standards of quality and care, and this is the philosophy at the heart of Your Heart Scan.
